Our book for July will be the debut book of a Pulitzer Prize winner, Andrea Long Chu.
Females by Andrea Long Chu

“Such a provocative book written by a bold thinker and writer! The thesis is nuts (everyone is female), but that’s the point – put something out there and try to defend it. The book is a breath of fresh air in the debate about gender. It’s smart and it will make you think and even if you don’t agree with the thesis, that’s not even the point, just enjoy the ride.” [x]
Females is the 2019 debut book by Andrea Long Chu. The book is a work of gender theory, literary and film criticism and memoir centered on the premise that “everyone is female and everyone hates it.” The book was inspired by the writing of controversial feminist Valerie Solanas and each chapter of Females begins with quotes from Solanas’ play Up Your Ass.
